Performance Guidelines:

Qualifiers:

Each contestant may perform one song. The song must be submitted at the time of registration, including song title and artist.

Contestants may also submit alternate versions or original songs via MP3/MP4 on a flash drive and must bring it on the day of the performance.

Contestants may perform with live guitar accompaniment if provided by the contestant.

Finals:

Winners of the qualifiers must prepare two songs. Songs must be submitted to the host prior to the day of the finals.

Eligibility Rules:

Participants must be at least 13 years of age.

Applicants under the age of 16 must have a parent or legal guardian register with them and be present at the performance.

The following individuals are not eligible to participate:

• Anyone employed in the entertainment or performance industry as a singer
• Anyone signed to a record label
• Any professionally paid singer or band

Check-In Requirements:

Contestants must arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the qualifier round.

Finalists must arrive 30 to 45 minutes prior to the finals.

Judging:

Qualifiers:

Judging will be conducted through audience voting using phone or electronic response.

Voting may be conducted as one vote per person or a 1–10 point scoring system.

The top two contestants from each qualifier will advance to the finals.

Finals:

Judging will be conducted by a panel of 3 to 5 local celebrity judges.

Song Choice
Stage Presence
Style/Outfit

Each category will be scored on a scale of 1 to 25, with a total possible score of 100.

Finals Format:

Round 1: Top 10 contestants perform one song each. Judges select the top 5.

Round 2: Top 5 contestants perform one song each. Judges select the top 3.

An intermission is recommended for score tabulation and optional special performances.

Winners and Prizes:

Qualifiers:

The top two winners from each qualifier will receive sponsored prizes from the hosting business.

Finals:

1st Place: $750, trophy, and a performance spot at the Bog-Off Festival
2nd Place: $500 and trophy
3rd Place: $250 and trophy
